Four Decades of Tramper Technology
In 1986, Peter Tramper started Tramper Technology with a small team, practical engineering and a focus on building reliable machinery for the food industry. In those early days, machine design was done on CRT screens, while milling, assembly and commissioning were often handled by a very small team, sometimes by just one person.
Tramper’s first machine was built for the shellfish industry. From there, the company grew step by step, machine by machine and project by project.
Growing from the Netherlands to the World
Over the years, Tramper developed from a small machine builder into an international specialist in food packaging (tray sealing), supplying both standalone machines and complete packaging solutions across the food industry.
While our technology, facilities and capabilities have changed significantly, our foundation has remained the same: a family-owned business built around family values, practical engineering, craftsmanship, hard work and a long-term commitment to our customers.
Our journey has taken us beyond the Netherlands, first to South Africa and now to the United States with Tramper Technology USA in Charlotte, North Carolina. These locations represent new chapters in our story, bringing our knowledge and experience closer to our customers and their markets. While our presence in these countries is relatively new, the knowledge and experience behind them have been built over almost four decades.
